 Requirements for certification as local chapter:

  1. Must have at least fifteen (15) members to convene a local general assembly.
  2. Any local NAIP formation with less than fifteen (15) members is to be considered a NAIP Local Organizing Committee (NLOC).
  3. Must have a neighborhood coordinator in at least five (5) neighborhoods.
  4. Must have selected at least one (1) community representative.
  5. Must have selected at least eight (8) members to serve on local steering committee.
  6. Must have selected at least five (5) members to serve on local executive committee.


 
Requirements for certification as county chapter:

  1. Must have at least five (5) established and certified local chapters within your county.
  2. Must select five (5) representatives per chapter to County Assembly.
  3. Must select at least seven (7) members to serve on County Steering Committee. No more than two (2) may be members of the same local chapter.
  4. Must select at least five (5) members to serve on the County Executive Committee. All must represent different local chapters.


                               
Requirements for certification as state chapter:

  1. Must have at least three (3) established and certified county chapters within your state.
  2. Must select seven (7) representatives per chapter to State Assembly.
  3. Must select at least seven (7) members to serve on State Steering Committee. No more than two (2) may be members of the same county chapter.
  4. Must select at least five (5) members to serve on the State Executive Committee.

MEMBERSHIP CODE OF CONDUCT


  1. Listen to the people attentively. There is no change without them.
  2. Be courteous and respectful, especially to youth and elders.
  3. Protect and defend one another and your communities.
  4. Don't make promises that you can't keep. Your word is bond.
  5. Be honest. Do not lie, cheat or steal from the people.
  6. Party members must study and learn the NAIP philosophy and platform.
  7. Depending on their schedule and availability, all Party members must participate in Political Education (P.E.) and Community Organizing (C.O.) classes.
  8. Learn and practice 'criticism/self-criticism'.
  9. Follow your national and local leadership. Focus on principle, not personality.
  10. Do not use drugs, alcohol and/or intoxicants while representing the NAIP or doing Party work.
  11. Work hard to get things done. Talk is cheap.
  12. Develop and maintain a moral compass in all that you do.
